Please read this carefully before using Overload. It should be read together with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. By using the app, you accept this Disclaimer.
Overload is a tool for recording and tracking your own weight-training sessions and viewing your progress over time. Everything the app shows you is provided for general informational and record-keeping purposes only.
Overload does not provide medical advice and is not a medical device. Nothing in the app is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or health condition, or to substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare professional before beginning, changing or stopping any exercise program, and with any questions about a medical condition — especially if you have or suspect a heart condition, high blood pressure, an injury or chronic illness; are recovering from surgery, illness or injury; are pregnant or postpartum; experience pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, chest discomfort or any other symptom during or after exercise; or are otherwise unsure whether physical activity is safe for you. Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something in the app.
Overload does not provide professional fitness, coaching, strength or personal-training advice. The app does not recommend weights, quantities, volumes, exercises or training programs, and does not suggest that you increase your load, intensity or volume. The app may notify you when your logged training has been consistent, purely so that information is available to you — this is not a recommendation, instruction, prompt or endorsement to lift more, train harder or change your training in any way. Any decision you make after seeing such a notification is entirely your own.
If you want guidance on how to train, what loads to use, or how to progress safely, consult a suitably qualified fitness professional or coach.
Physical exercise, including weight training, carries inherent risks, including the risk of serious injury. By using the app, you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for exercising safely — including your choice of exercises, weights, technique, equipment, warm-up and environment — that you will exercise within your own limits and stop if you feel unwell or experience pain, and that you assume all risk arising from your physical activity and training. You should not rely on the app as the basis for any training decision that affects your health or safety.
We do not guarantee any particular fitness, performance, health or other outcome from using the app. While we aim for the app to function correctly, we do not warrant that the information, progress summaries, calculations or notifications it provides are accurate, complete or free from error. You should verify anything important yourself.
If you think you are experiencing a medical emergency, call your local emergency number or seek immediate medical attention. Do not rely on the app.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any injury, harm, loss or damage arising from your use of the app or from any exercise or training decision you make in connection with it. Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded — see our Terms of Use for how those rights apply and how our liability is otherwise limited.
